(1) The two cannot replace each other. Especially, structural adhesive cannot be used as weather resistant adhesive. Although structural adhesives are expensive and can be reduced to weather resistant versions, weather resistant adhesives are mainly used for external building sealing and have high requirements for weather resistance, which is difficult to meet.
(2) Both types of adhesives require the use of neutral adhesive, expired weather resistant adhesive and structural adhesive cannot be used.
(3) At present, most of the weather resistant and structural adhesives used are imported or domestically produced. Imported or domestically produced adhesives must hold a national certificate of conformity and various performance inspection reports. Compatibility refers to the fact that when the structural adhesive comes into contact with these materials, it only serves as a bonding agent and does not undergo chemical changes, which affects the bonding performance.
